Hold my hand / And we will stand

There are seasons in life when everything feels suspended between what was and what will be. Winter is not only the season of cold. It is the season of uncertainty: the leaves are gone, the fields look empty, and the future does not yet show its face. But winter does not mean life has ended. Much of life survives in hidden places. Roots still hold beneath frozen ground. Seeds remain alive beneath the surface. What looks barren may actually be preparing to begin again. Doubt tears apart when we believe winter is all there is. The song does not answer the cold with denial; it answers the cold with presence. 'Hold my hand / And we will stand' is not a promise that winter will vanish overnight. It is a promise that we do not have to face it alone. Winter's heart is not the end. It is the place where strength is tested, faith is clarified, and the first unseen beginnings of spring are formed.

Lyrics

VERSE

Let me ask you something When there's no questions Left to ask, and no answers Without clear understanding What entices to curiosities Will remain to be discovered Beneath whispered meanings That are no longer demanding

BRIDGE

Will we hear a siren's call A history we need to forestall Or will one ring rule them all In the end, before they fall

When you have your fill of wine

And the evening starts to set All the guests and entourage No longer regret the entertaining

Creeping in on ruin and wonder

An infinite reality soon sets in That the belief in a coming doom Hid a life that was just beginning

BRIDGE

Once you think you have it all Don't forget to give us a call And tell us of the coming fall And how we can try to forestall

PRE-CHORUS

I won't pretend And don't intend To break or bend I'll fight next to you Till the bitter end

CHORUS

Winter's heart Doubt tears apart Hold my hand And we will stand To face the cold Bright and bold So a new world can start Born from...

BRIDGE

The illusion is a confusion To shade the hit parade And the tell to break the spell Is in the true that is you

Just as I see being me

Will free who I'm supposed to be

PRE-CHORUS

I won't pretend And don't intend To break or bend I'll fight next to you Till the bitter end

CHORUS

Winter's heart Doubt tears apart Hold my hand And we will stand To face the cold Bright and bold So a new world can start Born from...

FINAL CHORUS

Winter's heart Doubt tears apart Hold my hand And we will stand To face the cold Bright and bold So a new world can start Born from winter's heart
