And a single red rose / For you, my love

Love often asks to be made visible. We can feel devotion deeply and still leave it unspoken. A flower may seem simple, but sometimes love needs a form it can be seen, held, and remembered in. For Grazynka, red roses became that form. The gift was never only the rose. It was the choosing. It was the time in the garden. The thorns endured. The stems trimmed for the house. The decision to place beauty where she would find it, room by room. Love became an act repeated so often that a single bloom could carry an entire history. Even after loss, love can continue in the ways we still tend it. I could not keep her by my side, but I could keep honoring what we shared. Growing roses did not deny grief. It gave grief somewhere gentle to go. It turned memory into care, and care into a living ritual. Some love stories do not end with absence. They keep blooming in the things we still choose to grow. Love can keep blooming long after goodbye.

Lyrics

VERSE 1

They say I've got a green thumb But I just love working outdoors I grew a garden out of love for you With all the roses you could adore

There were white roses in bunches

Some "Orange Sunsets" that show A yellow, a pink, and even a black But your favorite I grew like a pro

PRE-CHORUS

If you love her You'll give her One stem Or a dozen

CHORUS

Red roses To let her know you care Red roses For the love you share Red roses For this gift from above And a single red rose For you, my love

VERSE 2

You might have heard before That for love you must bleed But I endured the rose's thorns Your wish fulfilled was my need

So I'd trim the roses for the house

Then placed in vases in every room So no matter where you stood A rose of love would find you soon

PRE-CHORUS

If you love her You'll give her One stem Or a dozen

CHORUS

Red roses To let her know you care Red roses For the love you share Red roses For this gift from above And a single red rose For you, my love

BRIDGE

All the years All the blood, sweat, and tears Could not keep you by my side But the years Of our joy and love without fears Keeps you with me deep inside

CHORUS

Red roses To let her know you care Red roses For the love you share Red roses For this gift from above And a single red rose For you, my love

PRE-CHORUS

If you love her You'll give her One stem Or a dozen

OUTRO CHORUS

Red roses By the dozen Or by the stem I still grow them out there For the love that we shared
